green tea

i'm desperate for a pick me up today, i'm drinking green tea.

now let me say, i am a tea purist. I dont drink that fruity stuff with ginseng and good karma, i'm a straight black tea with milk kinda gal. so for me to be drinking green tea which doesn't even taste like sunshine? well, this is a new low.

my work comes close to a halt in the summer, so my days are epically long and there are a few things to do but I don't seem to get to them. yesterday i did happen to fit in three episodes of 30 Rock. Which was fantastic! i think i'll have to do the same thing today since its 9:15 and i wish i had a sick day to use and just go home.

i'm in week three of the candida diet. i've got one foot in the door of "this ain't so bad" mode of thinking and the other foot lies in "i hate my life why can't i eat marshmellows and peanut butter???!!!!". i'm hoping i gain some acceptance and feel the total freedom of some guidelines..isn't that what they say? that i should feel even more freedom because I'm not eating food that is killing me?

i'm really happy to discover another friend of mine was on the candida diet last winter and has been eating differently every since so that in addition to my best friend following the diet i feel like a support group is gathering. soon i'm sure we will have broccoli parties to celebrate all that is right with veggies.
